Biography

John C. Hughs has a Juris Doctor in Law from Seattle University Law School, Seattle, Washington, and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Montana State University.

While attending Franklin Pierce Law Center in Concord, New Hampshire, John wrote patent opinions for the New Hampshire Inventors Assistance Program.

He continued on as a corporate patent attorney preparing patent applications for a northeast chemical company and preparing and prosecuting patent applications for patent law firms in Washington DC and Connecticut. John returned to eastern Washington state in 2002 to complete his graduate studies and start his own intellectual property law practice.

John is a member of the State Bars of Idaho and Texas, the American Intellectual Property Law Association, Phi Alpha Delta (Law Fraternity) and Tau Beta Pi. He is also registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. John is fluent in Spanish and is a certified Engineer-In-Training.
